We evaluated both traditional machine learning approaches and cutting-edge APIs for categorizing profile photos based on content features. Initial testing with conventional image classification achieved 65% accuracy, which fell short of the studio's quality requirements.

After pivoting to test the OpenAI image classification API, we developed comprehensive testing and reporting infrastructure to evaluate its capabilities.
